A “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” merchandise may have just revealed a possible spoiler in the film’s storyline. If the details presented in the product are confirmed, then it seems Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne may have to team up together to fight one common enemy.

Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) may turn full-on villain in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” and battle both superheroes. A photo of the movie merchandise posted by Twitter user BiASED Juan shows three action figures, two of which look already very familiar. Aside from Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), the label on the product also identified the third figure as the “Mega-Armored Lex Luthor.”

Movie merchandise can sometimes turn up as unreliable sources for film spoilers. So there’s a slim chance that this Lex Luthor action figure is directly tied to “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” However, the action figure reportedly somehow connects with a previous report about Lex Luthor suiting up in armour to battle Superman.

According to Movieweb, the villain will step into mechanised armour made of Kryptonite, with bits and pieces taken from Zod’s (Michael Shannon) armour. Comic Book Movie likewise added that Lex Luthor’s armour also resembles that of Zod’s suit in “Man of Steel.”

It would have been easy to just dismiss the merchandise as a non-spoiler if it were not for Superman and Batman dressed in their costumes seen in the trailer. Lex Luthor will reportedly turn up at the end of “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” in his armoured suit to battle both superheroes.

A previous spoiler for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” revealed that Lex Luthor actually got hold of Zod’s corpse after his death in “Man of Steel.” He uses it in his experiment to further understand Superman. In the process he accidentally turns Zod into Doomsday.

However, there’s still a possibility that Lex Luthor would indeed come out as the main villain in the movie, given that multiple reports have already denied Doomsday’s appearance in the film. Shannon himself said in an interview with Larry King that he will reprise his role as a “ghost” Zod in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” He will not be appearing as Doomsday as what was previously rumoured.
