Months after the faulty PC release of “Batman: Arkham Knight,” publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the PC version of the game will be available soon. Although no specific release date was given, the publisher noted that it will be out in the coming weeks.

The announcement was stated in a press release, which detailed the upcoming DLC for the final chapter in the Arkham series, DualShockers reports. Toward the end of the press release announcement of the new expansions, the developer mentioned that the PC version will be re-released soon. Those who already bought the game can reportedly expect a slew of updates.

Upon its release for the PC, “Batman: Arkham Knight” was plagued with bugs that rendered it unplayable. Warner Bros. had to pull the game from retailers and digital markets such as Steam. Those who have already bought the game and aren’t able to secure the refund had to rely on updates by the developer. Patches were rolled out, but these didn’t entirely fix the game itself. The first patch released on Sept. 4 fixed framerate hitches, optimised VRAM usage, improved GPU performance, cleaned up textures and more.

Warner Bros. apologised immediately for the faulty initial PC launch of the game. Console players, meanwhile, had no issues regarding the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the game.

The publisher then explained why the PC port was a mess, stating that the PC version was developed by a smaller external team. The console version, meanwhile, was developed by Rocksteady itself. This was brought to light on a blog post at the forum of Arkham Knight.

“We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible,” Arkham Community manager Coda said.

The PC version could come just in time for the much-awaited “The Dark Knight Trilogy” costumes. Just recently, the Tumbler from the “Dark Knight” films was made available to the game. However, there was no sighting of Christian Bale’s Batman costume to go hand-in-hand with the Tumbler.

Game director Sefton Hill took to Twitter to announce that the costume will indeed come, as requested by fans. He noted that it will take a while to procure the costumes, though, as it would take vast amounts of detail. He then asked fans whether they want the “Batman Begins” or “The Dark Knight” Batman suit.
