Tis the “Season of Infamy,” and fans can finally be a part of it, after many months of waiting. This will be the last season pass update for “Batman: Arkham Knight,” and it's safe to say that this is the downloadable content (DLC) pack that fans have been waiting for.

“Season of Infamy” brings Mr. Freeze, Ra’s Al Ghul, Killer Croc and Mad Hatter back to Gotham, each with their own Most Wanted mission that must be completed. Along with the extra villains, the developers in Rocksteady also added a number of new areas in the game, like a new prison in the GCPD where the foes will be detained.

The PlayStation Blog has also shed some story details regarding the villains:

  • Scarecrow has captured Mr. Freeze’s wife and will return her if he captures Batman in “In From The Cold.”
  • Killer Croc has evolved into something incredibly dangerous and it’s up to Batman and Nightwing to stop him in “Beneath The Surface.”
  • In “Shadow War,” The League of Assassins was splintered after the events of “Arkham City,” resulting in a resurrected Ra’s Al Ghul, who was last seen impaled.
  • “Wonderland” has Batman take part in a twisted hallucination, courtesy of the Mad Hatter. This will also feature some unique looking visuals, similar to the Scarecrow missions in “Arkham Asylum.”

Fans will also be happy to know that a number of free DLCs is now available. Those who downloaded the patch will get the animated series skin for Harley Quinn and the Arkham Knight costume for Red Hood.

GameSpot has also confirmed three free skins for Batman:

  • The previously announced 2008 “Dark Knight” skin, which was added due to fan demand.
  • Batsuit V8.05 – prestige edition, which can be accessed once players have reached 240 percent game completion.
  • The “Batman Noel” skin, based on the Christmas Carol-themed graphic novel from Lee Bermejo and perfect for the holiday season.

Finally, there is the fifth Crime Fighter Challenge Pack featuring unique AR challenges for Azrael, Harley Quinn, Batman, Nightwing and the Batmobile. There will also be free AR challenges coming in January, with PC users gaining early access to it.

“Batman: Arkham Knight” is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Fans must download the latest patch to access all the DLCs.
