A video of a mother hitting her son for participating in the Baltimore riots has gone viral on the Internet. The video was posted on April 27 and at the time of this post has already had 5,363,427 views on YouTube. (Watch the video below.)

According to The Washington Post, the mother, Toya Graham, can be seen smacking her 16-year-old son. The teenager was participating in the riots that took place on Monday after the funeral for Freddie Grey, a 25-year-old African American man, who died from spinal injuries in police custody.

"I'm a no-tolerant mother. Everybody who knows me, knows I don't play that," Toya Graham told CBS News. She also added that her son knew he was in trouble. She said that she was "shocked" and "angry" and that nobody wanted to see their "child doing that."

Graham denounced the violence against the police officers and all the vandalism that took place during the riots. The single mother with six children also said that riots in Baltimore cannot get justice for Freddie Grey and she added that she did not want that life for her son.

The video has been liked by 22,010 people while 988 people have given it the thumbs down. More than 8,500 have already commented on the video.

YouTube users Stephanie Barresi, linda morgan, C Meridian, Ryan Shaffer, Leon Lai and Chad Holmes have posted their opinions of the video. C Meridian, Chad Holmes and linda morgan wrote that what the mother did was wrong. They felt that she could have used a more peaceful approach.

On the other hand Stephanie Barresi, Ryan Shaffer and Leon Lai have praised what the Toya Graham did. Stephanie Barresi commented that it was excellent parenting and that she was "raising him right."

There were many people discussing whether the young people now days were spoilt because parents are not allowed to hit their children anymore. A YouTube user, Baph0met, echoed the views of most of the commenters when he commented that the kids these days were turning into "brats" because of "extra strict" child abuse laws.
