“The Bachelor Australia” Season 2 finale saw Blake Garvey getting down on his knee and proposing to Sam Frost, holding a 3.01-carat Valentin cushion-cut diamond ring. In less than 24 hours after the telecast of the final episode, it was revealed that Blake has dumped Sam. Later, he confirmed rumours that he and second runner-up Louise Pillidge are an item. Louise and Blake are now co-habiting, while Sam recently sold off her engagement ring through an auction.

The engagement ring was sold for $26,000, according to Sydney Morning Herald. The anonymous buyer will pay an extra 22 per cent fee to Leonard Joel Auction House. According to reports, this puts the total cost at $31, 720. It was said that the engagement ring was worth $58,000. However, the auctioneer valued it at just $18,000. News.com.au is reporting that the anonymous buyer is a female and she has bought the ring to be her own engagement ring.

Sam will be donating a major part of the amount to two of her chosen charities and also use the proceeds to pay off her debts, according to News.com.au. The charities are Beyond Blue and The Stroke Foundation. Speaking about her credit card debt, Sam said that it is not “too bad,” adding that “the majority of it is going to charity, but I just want to pay off a few bills and give some thank yous to my brothers.”

The blonde beauty also said to News.com.au that it is 2015 and it is time to focus forward. However, she does not have a plan for the future. She is currently taking every moment as it comes. Sam also confirmed that she is not doing “The Bachelorette Australia,” as she couldn’t think of “anything worse than doing that. Earlier this month, Sam revealed that she is dating Sydney Swans player Dane Rampe.

Meanwhile, Louise recently showed off her cooking skills, as she baked a children’s birthday cake, according to Mail Online. She shared the photo on her Instagram page, with a caption that reads, “Had such an amazing time making a surf inspired cake for this special little guy!! Happy 7th birthday James.”
