Sam, the 25-year-old finance and insurance consultant, is the woman to get the final red rose of "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2. Sam was the top favourite to win but in the finale, she had to beat one of the most outstanding women in Season 2. Blake said goodbye to 27-year-old fashion designer, Lisa, in the season finale that aired on Thursday night.

'The Bachelor Australia' Season 2 opened with 24 beautiful girls, each unique in her own way. Later, six more girls joined the reality show. For the first time, the Season 2 introduced the concept of the white rose. The receiver of the white rose escaped two elimination rose ceremonies. Professional netball player Holly received the white rose but her journey in the competition ended quite early. She picked her sports career over the possibility of finding love on a reality show and said goodbye to Blake.

There were some bachelorettes who did not catch anyone's attention, while some caught the audience's attention but never emerged as serious contenders. It is difficult to recall what Amanda, Bridgette, Shana, Karla, Lauren, Samantha did on the show. Anita was a big hit in the introduction episode because of her stalker-like behaviour and Diana's princess like approach made her stand-out in a group of stunning girls. Kara's ability to intercept when he was with another girl, and take him away for a one to one chat, showed how to win the attention of the bachelor, if he is unable to see you in the group. Alana managed to keep her face clean at a group date that involved playing with children.

The Season 2 of "The Bachelor Australia" had its fair share of drama. In the initial episodes, Laurina's cold, calculative approach made a majority of girls gang-up against her. In one episode, Sam and Amber verbally lashed out at her. Laurina was one of the bachelorettes who made "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2 interesting to watch. It would be difficult to forget the dirty-street-pie moment. Amber was a complete drama queen. Chantal was neither a saint nor a loud-mouth. She was some sort of a group leader in the bachelorettes' home. Zoe was lovable but she never showed her true-self on the show. Katrina tried to use her musical talent to win Blake's heart but ended-up getting a card for a diabolical double date. She and Zoe did not get along in the house and they were sent the invitation for the double date. Katrina's journey ended in that episode while Zoe was one of the top five girls.

Blake sent the first single date card of the season to Jessica. It was a magical, fairy-tale kind of date. The highlight of Blake and Jessica's first date was the first kiss of the season. Jessica's journey ended in episode 18 as she did not believe in rushing love. Louise was the perfect woman in Season 2, a woman who could balance home and career, beautifully. She was one of the top three of "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2 and a strong contender to win Blake's proposal. But, it looks like she could not convince Blake that she knew the real him.

Lisa was the dark horse of Season 2. One of the most mature girls in the competition, Lisa never put a foot wrong. She told Blake that she wanted him to be the last guy that she brings home. But, it never looked like Blake was falling for her, though he saw a future with her, too. The Bachelor of this season saw a future with nearly a dozen girls. And, till the penultimate episode, he was repeating that he has strong feelings for all the remaining girls. However, it was obvious that Sam has caught his attention and that he enjoys her company.

For Blake and Sam, the real journey begins now. The journey in the real world will not be an easy one, but as the previous season couple Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich have shown, it can be an interesting and a beautiful one.
