Apart from Richie Strahan, there was another memorable man featured in “The Bachelor Australia” 2016 – Olena Khamula's dad.

Fans of the hit reality show would remember Andriy Khamula, who absolutely terrified Richie during the hometown visits. When he spent time with Olena’s family in Greenacre, her ex-professional boxing father didn’t seem to mind the cameras as showed his true self: a protective dad looking out for his precious princess.

After Andriy learned that Richie took Olena for a motorbike ride, “The Bachelor Australia” followers saw the if-looks-could-kill stare. Olena could not help but reminisce on this particular incident when her dad pulled a similar stunt. The 23-year-old Ukraine-born beauty took to Instagram to share with her 135,000 followers what happened at a Russian restaurant in Sydney.

Olena posted a photo of herself with her now infamous dad and captioned it, “So apparently the edit from the Bachelor hometown visits was on point haha!! Funniest Rejection and comment of the all time happened LASTNIGHT.” She recounted that a boy came over and asked her for a dance. “Please put the strongest Terminators accent on when you read this,” she cautioned.

According to Olena, her dad answered for her, saying, “Mate she doesn't dance, she dances alone.” She then shared that for the rest of the night, her dad had “that look of when he found out I got on a bike with Richie.” Observing the poor guy’s reaction, Olena reckoned, “I think the boy may have pooped his pants .” She ended the post by saying, “Oh daddy I love you .”

In an interview after she got booted off the competition, Olena gushed that her dad is really special. “ He’s definitely loving it, he’s been laughing about it,” she told Woman’s Day, talking about her father’s sudden fame with “The Bachelor Australia” viewers. He’s happy for me, he thinks I made the right decision.”

Olena ended up in the top three of “The Bachelor Australia” 2016, which wrapped up in September. In the shocking and dramatic finale, Richie chose single mum Alex over fan favourite Nikki Gogan.
