Hugh Jackman might like his famous character Wolverine team up with the avengers. The actor who is currently promoting his new film “Chappie” discussed the possibility of Wolverine and other famous Fox characters including X-Men and Fantastic Four’s introduction in Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“You know, I think as an optimist I would love it. That’s the best thing about comic books; you can just pitch these characters into each other. I’m surprised by what’s happened with Spider-Man joining,” said Jackman to Yahoo UK. However, the actor added that it is not easy to bring two franchises together as huge amount of money is involved.

The actor was also asked about which MCU character he would like to see appear in a Wolverine film. To this, he reportedly said Iron Man. He also added that he couldn’t imagine anyone else expect Robert Downey Jr. play the role of Iron Man. According to Hugh, Robert and Iron Man are “inseparable.”

Hugh also thinks that “there is the possibility of” Avengers teaming up with other Fox characters or vice versa especially now that Spiderman has been introduced to MCU. Marvel is currently prepping up for the release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The film will show Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) starting a peacekeeping programme and devising robot Ultron that will go evil. Meanwhile, Hugh will be seen playing Wolverine in the upcoming “X-Men” film, “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

Moreover, last month in another press event of “Chappie” Hugh had also discussed the idea of Batman fighting Wolverine. He said that it would be “cool” to see that happen as in the comic book work all character can be pulled together, according to Comic Book. Meanwhile, in “Chappie” Hugh plays the role Vincent Moore in the film. He is an ex-soldier who turns into a robot designer and creates a robot called "Moose” who is more aggressive than the main robot Chappie in the film. Neil Blomkamp has directed “Chappie”. It is scheduled to be released on March 6, 2015. The film also stars Sharlto Copley and Dev Patel and has been written by Neill and Terri Tatchell.
