“Avengers: Infinity War” will not have Part I and Part II titles anymore. Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of “Captain America: Civil War,” revealed that they will need new titles for the two-parter film because there will be “two very different movies.”

The third and fourth Avengers films are slated to be released in 2018 and 2019. However, instead of the films being a continuation of the other, there are going to be changes to the upcoming movies.

“The movies are two very different movies,” Joe told Uproxx in an interview.

When asked if the movies being called Part 1 and Part 2 is misleading, Anthony answered, “It is misleading.”

“The intention is we will change it, we just haven’t come up with the titles yet. But yes, we will change it. And yes, that is a scoop: we will retitle them.”

As Uproxx noted, the move makes sense because the Russo brothers didn’t want people to think they would be getting only half a movie. Hence, they are adamant that the two Avengers films are very different stories.

Meanwhile, in a separate Q&A at the Smithsonian Institute (via Coming Soon), the Russos revealed that Captain Marvel will be appearing in the “Infinity War” films. It appeared they weren’t meant to reveal that fact, and so when asked to clarify, they joked that they totally said “Captain Barvel.”

It’s no secret that Captain Marvel is the newest member to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The female superhero will star in her own solo film in 2019, set between the two “Infinity War” films.

As for the actress playing her, reports claimed she’s already been cast. Hitflix suggests that if the production begins in November, Marvel may introduce the actress as part of the San Diego Comic Con panel. Angelina Jolie’s name is also being thrown around as a possible Captain Marvel. She is rumoured to both star and direct the film. That seems unlikely, however, given that the character might be locked down to several MCU films in the coming years.
