Shipments of AT&T variant of the Motorola Nexus 6 have been returned due to a software bug. According to news reports, other models of Google Nexus 6 outside AT&T are unaffected by this mysterious software bug.

Software Bug Forces AT&T To Return Shipments of Google Nexus 6 To Motorola

Initial shipments of Google Nexus 6 have arrived to AT&T but returned back to Motorola after a software bug has been discovered. Based on the details from DroidLife, the software bug causes the display to go "black", makes the device unable to connect to network services when powered on. As far as the report goes, only the initial batch of the AT&T Nexus 6 variant were affected by this issue and Motorola is working on upcoming shipments with the correct software.

It means that AT&T stores at this time may or may not have stocks of Motorola Nexus 6 which could last for a few days. And for those who already purchased any Nexus 6 from AT&T and experienced the mentioned software bug, go directly to AT&T for a replacement.

DroidLife sources claim that models of Motorola Nexus 6 which are not configured for AT&T sold by other network carriers, retail stores and via Google Play Store do not seem have the software bug. AT&T is selling the Motorola Nexus 6 at the regular price of $682.99 with available instalment plans such as $22.77 for 30 months. Purchase of Nexus 6 from AT&T will give $50 discount on Moto 360, Moto Hint or Moto Sliver II via special offer until Jan. 8 next year.

Motorola Nexus 6 from AT&T comes with six inches of screen display, dual front-facing stereo speakers, 32 GB internal storage capacity, a 3220 mAh battery unit, a 13 MP HDR+ rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. Included in the box are the Motorola Turbo Charger which can give six hours of battery life within 15 minutes of charging and a USB cable.
