Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to say anything about a banner that some of the fans had made for him.

Some of the supporters have grown impatient over the years, as the French mentor continually fails to lead the north London outfit to winning a major silverware since the 2003-04 season. The streamer read: "Arsene, thanks for the memories, but it's time to say goodbye."

Nevertheless, the Frenchman, who is approaching his twentieth year as man-in-charge for the Gunners, wants to focus on the task of making his team better.

"I don't comment on that. Do I need to say it again? I don't comment on your question," said Wenger.

"We can let people talk. We live in a society of total opinion but we live off what we do, not what we say. What we do is on the football pitch."

The Gunners secured a win by keeping a clean sheet, while Danny Welbeck provided the lone goal of the match. He praised Santi Cazorla, who was deployed behind Olivier Giroud, for providing the crucial assist despite struggling to find the back of the net himself.

"It's Cazorla's class that got us the goal," he continued.

"He had a few opportunities in the first half because he cannot finish at the moment but at providing he's still top class."
