[Spoiler alert]

It is back to some street action in the next season. The fast paced new trailer shows Oliver (Stephen Amell) in multiple action sequences, where he hits the villains and also gets hit. As the newly appointed Mayor of the city, he will also make plans in his official capacity to take on the criminals in Star City. The superhero can be seen chatting with Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) after unveiling the statue of Laurel (Katie Cassidy).

According to the official synopsis of “Arrow” Season 5 premiere episode, Oliver will start off by attempting to protect Star City on his own in the streets, with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) guiding him from the bunker. The superhero will soon realise that the city is “overrun” by both criminals as well as vigilantes inspired by the death of Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).

It will be Felicity who will first suggest forming a new team with new recruits. Oliver initially is against the idea, but gives in eventually. The trailer shows the superhero whipping his new team into shape in order to prepare them to take on criminals on the street.

Tobias Church (Chad L. Coleman) is the “deadly” new villain that Oliver will have to deal with in the premiere episode of “Arrow” Season 5. The trailer also shows the hero being kidnapped and tortured. The flashbacks this year will take the hero to Russia, and he will take on the Bratva there.
