Ariana Grande's life has been going great as of late thanks to her latest single topping the charts and her blossoming love life. Yet, real life isn't always too perfect even for celebrities like Ariana. The "Sam & Cat" star broke down on Twitter announcing the death of her beloved grandfather.

"Arianators" know just how much Grande loves her grandfather. The former Nickelodeon star had been constantly posting photos of her adorable grandfather on her Instagram account. However, on Tuesday the "Problem" singer posted the saddest tweet bidding farewell to her grandfather.

"thank you for your continuous love & light over the past few weeks... we did lose my favorite person to ever exist yesterday, my grandpa :'(," tweeted Grande.

The death of her grandfather did not stop Grande from fulfilling her professional commitments. With a heavy heart, the songstress appeared on "Good Morning America" where Ryan Seacrest and Robin Roberts offered their heartfelt condolences.

"Arianators" have also been the supportive bunch. The hash tag #RipGrandpaGrande and #StayStrongAriana have been trending on Twitter.

Unlike Ariana who was beside grandpa Grande until the last minute, big brother Frankie Grande was not. Frankie has been kept in the dark about the passing away of his grandfather due to the fact that he is currently included in the reality show, "Big Brother."

For now, the support keeps flooding in for Ariana Grande and her family who have suffered a great loss. In other Grande related news, the "Baby I" singer is set to perform at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival is set to take place on Sept. 19 to 20 in Las Vegas. Ryan Seacrest announced the line up to People magazine.

"People can expect a weekend that they will never forget," stated Seacrest in an exclusive report by PEOPLE. "I saw the list coming together, and I was so excited to announce it because it covers everything in music - all these artists in one place for the weekend and the biggest fans who make the pilgrimage who come to see them."

Other than Grande, Taylor Swift, One Direction, Iggy Azalea, Usher and Nicki Minaj are just a few celebs set to perform.
