Orlando Bloom and Selena Gomez sparked dating rumours after being spotted together in the airport earlier this week. Tabloids are already declaring them as the new couple in town.

However, the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star has put his foot down and announced firmly that they are 'just friends'. The ex-husband of Australian superstar Miranda Kerr, Bloom has been seen hanging out with the sultry star a couple of times.

The two stars were headed to Vancouver to attend 'We Day', which is a movement to empower young global citizens through inspirational activities and educational initiatives. Bloom handled the photographer's query sportingly and denied all such speculations about his reported current flame.

Once back home in Los Angeles, the 37-year-old star again denied any romantic inclination towards the gorgeous singer. "No, man, we are just attending 'We Day' together," Bloom told TMZ when quizzed about his relationship with Gomez.

Despite such vehement denial, several tabloids are still assuming that Bloom and Gomez are the new couple. The two were seen travelling to Vancouver together with a close group of friends including rapper Macklemore.

Gomez was seen enjoying Bloom's company but quickly covered her face with the edge of her jacket as soon as she spotted onlookers and paparazzi. Once they reached the venue, they parted ways to assume their separate responsibilities. While Gomez went ahead to host the show donning a pretty pink ensemble, the Pirates star participated in the Q&A session with 'We Day' founder Craig Kielburger.

This was not the first instance that Gomez and Bloom had been romantically linked as the same rumours have surfaced several times in the past. After the famous episode of the bar brawl in Ilbia, where Bloom allegedly punched Justin Bieber, the speculations gained even more authenticity.

In the meantime, Gomez also got to meet the Dalai Lama during the rehearsals of the event and was left quite speechless, as told by the Daily Mail. The star apparently enjoyed every moment of this trip as reflected by her enthusiastic tweets.
