Apple's iPhone 7 has been drawing all sorts of attention since predictions of analysts shifted the focus fron the iPhone 6s to it. Nonethless just as attention started increasing over the 4-inch version of the device, Ming-Chi Kuo now debunks such thoughts saying that Apple could delay a 4-inch smartphone until 2016. The iPhone 7 still has not received final details but concepts and predictions expect to be a monstrous creation. Will Apple succeed?

As if to answer curiosity over a 4-inch version of the iPhone 7, Ming-Chi Kuo provided a note to investors saying: "iPhone 5S still going strong; next 4-inch likely in 2016. Shipments of 5S are still going strong at 5-7mn units every quarter, an impressive level at such a mature stage of the product cycle. Momentum is being sustained by a more affordable price and the product’s outstanding design. But we still believe it’s necessary for Apple to have a new 4-inch iPhone because: (1) it will be key to extending momentum in the 4-inch category; and (2) it could complete the Apple Pay ecosystem, assuming it is equipped with NFC. We predict a launch in 2016."

More importantly, the analyst - whose track record has been highly regarded in the industry - also estimates that the iPhone 5c may reach the its product cycle conclusion later int he year. Apple's iPhone 5s is taking its place as the new entry-level device with more expectations of Apple releasing the "iPhone 6s" and the "iPhone 6s Plus."

In another concept from designer Antonio De Rosa, the iPhone 7 is imagined to be a more monstrous creation combined with the features of the Apple Watch. According to the new concept, the iPhone 7 could come with a digital crown offering a new user input option. The crown should allow users to zoom in and out as well as go through the menus without needing to cover the screen with own fingers. As with other concepts, this may or may not be true. Apple has not released final details on the matter.
