AT&T has reported Apple iPhone 6's pre-order statistics has broken records. Adding cherry on top, a whopping 16 million iPhone 6 pre-orders have been placed thus far across the globe. Notably, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C from 2013 managed to reach pre-orders of only 9 million units in the first week.

Glenn Lurie, CEO of AT&T, was proud to say Apple iPhone 6 created history by providing the biggest pre-order launch day for the company. He further added that a combination of best pricing, reliable 4G LTE network and service experience make AT&T's iPhone 6 offer a big deal. However, he did not divulge the exact numbers pertaining to AT&T, according to Phone Arena.

With killer pre-order sales record happening at the background, Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared in Charlie Rose's show for an interview. Cook spoke about Apple's privacy and security insights in the wake of Jennifer Lawrence and other famous celebrities' nude picture hacking scandal. According to Cook, Apple only stores minuscule data about individual users that are required to service them. He further added he strongly feels every individual has a right to privacy.

Tim also said that when Apple brings in a new feature or design to its customers, the company tries harder not to collect/store data. He also assured Apple gadget owners that the tech giant is not reading customers' emails or iMessages, to name a few. "If the government laid a summon on us to get your iMessages, we can't provide it. It's encrypted and we don't have a key," cook went on to say to corroborate his company's stand on privacy and to provide assurance.

Apart from assuring Apple customers about privacy, he also stressed on the area the company is concentrating on. "Our business is based on selling products. Our business is not based on having information about you. You are not our product," Cook said. He also reasserted nobody has access to Apple's servers; neither can anybody build a backdoor access.

When he was asked about the values close to his heart, Tim said treating people with respect, irrespective of colour, religion, sexual preference and gender difference tops the list. It is worth reminding that Tim said the famous line "Never allow the majority to limit the rights of the minority" when he addressed the gathered crowd in Auburn University.

Lastly, he declared, to the delight of all the Appleites, many new products/devices are in-progress. He also said nobody has rumoured about the brand new products in the works, so far. Nevertheless, some of them will be launched upon completion and the rest will be deferred.
