One of the major tech events of 2014 is done and dusted with Apple launching its long-awaited iPhone 6 models to a beaming crowd. However now, T-Mobile has officially announced price and availability details pertaining to both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus variants.

Potential buyers can pre-order the aforementioned devices from T-mobile starting Sept. 12. It is worth noting that Apple is not offering 32 GB iPhone 6 variant, instead a whopping 128 GB model is being offered. The 16 GB iPhone 6 variant with 4.7-inch display can be purchased for $0 down payment and 24 monthly payments of $27.08. The 64 GB and the 128 GB iPhone 6 models, on the other hand, will come for $99.99 and $199.99 down payments, respectively. However, the monthly instalment amount is the same as the 16 GB variant, says T-Mobile.

Moreover, the 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus model with 5.5-inch display is priced at $0 down payment with 24 monthly payments of $31.24. Meanwhile, the 64 GB and the 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus models can be purchased for $99.99 and $199.99 down payments, respectively, and the monthly instalment is around the same as the 16 GB model.

Both handsets can be availed via T-Mobile's Simple Choice plans. Apparently, this plan includes unlimited data and texting (international). In addition, T-Mobile customers can also enjoy music streaming for free. Furthermore, interested readers can also purchase the 8 GB iPhone 5C model for $0 down payment along with 24 monthly payments of $18.74 under T-Mobile's Simple Choice plans.

Moving on to the speculated supply problem, recent reports from Taiwan's supply chain unit claim both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models are facing shortage of supplies with the release date set for Sept. 19. If reports are true, Apple is hoping to ship a whopping 80 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units within the end of 2014. It is worth noting that only 60 million iPhone 5S units were shipped last year in the same time period. However, excluding unavoidable component delays, 10 million units are anticipated to be shipped by September end. Ironically in 2013, Apple sold 9 million units of iPhone 5S within 3 days of its launch. Equating the time frames, Phone Arena justifiably opines Apple could be in trouble of not being able to meet the demand.

Have you pre-ordered the device yet? Feel free to leave a comment. Readers should note that pre-ordered iPhone 6 handsets can also be picked up from Apple retail stores.
