For a while, Apple has remained silent about the release of the successor of iPad Air 2. Now, the predictions and speculations for the release date of the iPad Air 3 have surfaced from varied sources.

The iPad Air 3 is expected to definitely get an overhaul in terms of processor and memory. The iPad Air 2 is powered by an A8X chip along with 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM. Thus, the successor is expected to be fueled by an A9 or A9X processor which is said to be 20 percent more powerful and 35 percent more power efficient than the A8.

The iPad Air 2 with a 9.4-inch display screen is just 6.1mm thick and weighs 437g . According to a report in Christian Today, iPad Air 3 is expected to be thinner than its predecessor. The device is also rumoured to be sporting a 9.7-inch display with Touch ID. The new device is also tipped to come with a higher resolution of 2334 x 3112 pixels that result in 401pixels per inch.

Chinese publication MyDrivers anticipated a possible launch of iPad Air 3 in March 2016. However, another report in stated that new ultra-thin tablet will not see the daylight before summer or autumn 2016. But another report on IT Pro mentioned that the new generation of iPad Air will not see the daylight before summer or autumn 2016. Thus, the Cupertino tech giant may choose the annual fall event which generally takes place in September for the the unveiling of the iPad Air 3.

There are speculations that Apple would again bring in its 4-inch iPhone 6c in the year 2016. As reported by MacWorld, Japanese site Mac Otakara claimed that the popular small screen iPhone has gone for mass production. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo speculates that the device would be launched in the second half of 2016. There has been no official confirmation of the name of the rumoured 4-inch iPhone 6c.
