Apple is rumoured to be maintaining consistent hardware colours across all its iOS devices, which could lead the tech giant to introduce the Rose Gold colour option for its upcoming iPad Air 3, slated to be launched on March 15.

Apart from the new colour variant, the Apple iPad Air 3 is also believed to be coming with a Smart Connector for optimising the use of accessories. The leaked image of the alleged iPad Air 3 case design furthermore shows space for four speakers.

To quickly summarise the iPad Air 3 specs, the device is tipped to come with support for Apple Pencil like the iPad Pro, but unfortunately will miss out on 3D Force Touch. Leaked schematics also indicated that the next generation of iPad Air tablets may feature a rear camera LED flash, and an impressive 4K resolution panel as compared to the 2K display of the iPad Pro.

Alongside the next-generation iPad Air, Apple is also expected to unveil the long anticipated 4-inch iPhone 5se and a series of new Apple Watch band options in March. Apple may also bring in a Rose Gold variant for the upcoming smaller iPhone 5se, contradicting earlier rumours that the Cupertino giant would introduce the gadget in a new bright or hot pink, along with silver and space gray options.

According to sources, Apple’s next versions of the 12-inch MacBook and the iPad mini could even embrace the Gold colour, reports 9to5Mac. However, it is unlikely that Apple would unveil these devices at next month's event.

The iPhone 5se is believed to be an upgraded version of the iPhone 5s with improved specs, including a faster Apple A9 processor, 16GB in-built storage, 2GB of RAM and 2.5D cover glass display.
