Apple Likely To Release iPhone 7 In September; Check Out the Expected Features
Apple is likely to release the iPhone 7 in September as some unconfirmed reports suggest that the company will start manufacturing its new iPhones early next month, as per fresh reports.
As per the report on ValueWalk, the iPhone 7 is likely to be released on Sept. 25 with pre-orders starting one week prior. In an e-mail interaction between the company’s internal staff and Vodafone’s employees, the launch plans for iPhone 7 were reportedly outlined.
A report on Bloomberg says that the company has begun early production of new iPhone models that will include a Force Touch display, which the company debuted with its Apple Watch and new MacBook.
iPhone 7: What To Expect?
According to Bloomberg, the upcoming iPhones will sport similar exterior design as that of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. There would be 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch models of the iPhone 7, once it is released and most likely a larger phablet-sized variant ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ could be expected, reports ValueWalk.
Specs
Apple is likely to increase iPhone 7’s memory to 2 GB and the battery life will reportedly be increased by about 20 percent, reports ValueWalk. With the inclusion of Low power mode functionality in iOS 9, the battery life of the smartphone would increase by over 50 percent when compared to its predecessor. The company is also expected to upgrade the processor in the iPhone series once the iPhone 7 is released.
Force Touch
According to Bloomberg, the Force Touch feature enables users to adjust the strength of their screen taps to bring up different functions. Apple’s Force Touch screen is pressure sensitive and can tell how hard is a user pressing the screen apart from detecting whether a users is tapping or swiping the screen, reports Business Insider.
Force Touch is expected to be included in iPhone 7 and this will follow its inclusion in MacBook laptop earlier this year.
Camera
According to a report The Register, the iPhone 7 is likely to get dual rear facing cameras and with this Apple could join Dell, HTC, Huawei, and Samsung in including depth sensing technology to its phones. It is believed that the company resolved its supply chain and image quality issues by signing a deal with camera manufacturer Largan and by purchasing Israel based imaging company LinX, reports The Register.
No Home Button
According to ValueWalk report, Apple will snub the ‘Home Button’ feature in the iPhone 7. In order to ensure thin and sleek design, it is believed that the home button will be taken out of the upcoming iPhone, reports News.com.au. This change in feature is expected after Apple revealed that it was working on a new chip that would eliminate the physical home button and shift its functions to the touch screen, according to the News.com.au report.
