Apple Inc suppliers will begin mass producing displays as early as May 2014 for the next iPhone, expected to be launched this autumn, with a 4.7-inch screen likely to be produced first while a 5.5-inch version could be delayed, supply chain sources said. Japan Display Inc, Sharp Corp and South Korea's LG Display Co Ltd have all been tapped to make the screens, said the sources, who asked not to be identified. Reuters

Apple users who have been waiting to get their hands on the new 15-inch MacBook Pro may reportedly do so in just a matter of days. According to CNET, the much awaited laptop will be out in Wednesday and that it will be launched with an all-new Force Touch track pad.

This particular track pad just might be the most attractive feature of the redesigned device. With the new Force Touch technology, the device will respond differently, depending on how much pressure has been applied to the unit’s touch screen, according to 9to5Mac.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro’s Force Touch feature brings a new type of screen sensitivity to Apple’s regular track pads. Since the technology makes the device’s surface pressure-sensitive, a light tap could be utilized for selecting a certain word in a Safari web page, while a deeper, harder one could bring up a Wikipedia page. A lot of accesses can be organized with Force Touch gestures.

Furthermore, it also allows tactile feedback. The users can actually feel whenever a certain task has been performed. There are four available sensors that allow the user to click any portion of the track pad. This means that the 15-inch MacBook Pro will give feedback regardless of what particular part of the track pad the finger is in contact with.

That said, it can be ascertained that the new 15-inch MacBook Pro will soon be joining the ranks of the 12-inch MacBook and the 13-inch MacBook Pro. The Force Touch technology makes Apple laptops stand out among the rest of its rival laptop brands.

Although the new Force Touch technology is the most enticing part of the device, it also has other very interesting features, too. The redesigned 15-inch MacBook Pro will reportedly have an upgraded version of its Intel Core processor and its graphics processing unit. This could only mean that the unit’s owner will be able to enjoy a much speedier performance.
