No details have yet been revealed regarding the production of "X-Men: Apocalypse." However, actor Oscar Isaac, who has been cast to play as the main villain, recently shared his thoughts on how his character should be portrayed.

In an interview with Cinema Blend's Eric Eisenberg, Oscar Isaac revealed playing Apocalypse in the "X-Men" sequel has a biblical approach to it. The actor believes the character will not only see himself as a product of genetic changes but something far greater. Oscar Isaac claims Apocalypse as the "first mutant" would be a "God on Earth" in the sense that "he can be anything" and can "do anything."

Additionally, the actor claims the use of the word "mutant" is merely a description of the character. It doesn't really explain who Apocalypse is since "mutant" can also be used to describe all living things. The actor tells Eisenberg that even humans are deserving of the description.

"Humans are mutants, everything's a mutant - things that evolve. So I'm playing with what that is and encompassing that in someone that has these kinds of powers," he says in the interview.

Oscar Isaac even likens his understanding of his portrayal of Apocalypse with the Book of Revelations. The "X-Men" sequel reportedly has that "end of times" feeling especially with the movie's inclusion of the Four Horsemen. The villain Apocalypse supposedly embodies that feeling of being left behind and gives a freak out factor, much like the feeling evoked from the biblical imagery of the "beast with the seven heads."

It's still unclear though how the villain will be portrayed physically in the sequel. Oscar declines to reveal any details on visual concepts, citing the early stages of production as excuse. However, he did confirm he needs to bulk up to achieve Apocalypse's physique.

The sequel is believed to be a disaster movie so much so that it takes one to stir Oscar Isaac's villain character. According to the International Business Times, it would take some earth-shattering events to awaken the first mutant in "X-Men: Apocalypse." It's believed the movie could feature scenes involving the Cold War or any natural disaster such as tsunamis or earthquakes.
