The Brangelina brigade has conquered a local Target store on Sunday evening. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their six kids were seen shopping at a local Gold Coast department store to complete their Christmas gift lists.

The Hollywood power couple, who are said to be worth more than $300 million together, chose to shop at the low-cost department store instead of its high-end counterparts like Myers and David Jones. It just proves that even the richest celebrities would like to save a few bucks on gifts.

With the Jolie-Pitts' fame, it's nearly impossible for them to go anywhere without people flocking to them. And with a busy store like Target, it's almost certain that the famous parents and "Mr and Mrs Smith" co-stars would be doing more autograph signings and picture posing for fans than shopping if they went into a Target store during regular hours.

That's why the Robina Town Centre branch made special accommodations for Angie and Brad and their six kids - Maddox (12), Pax (11), Zahara (8), Shiloh (7), and twins Knox and Vivienne (5).

The store opened after hours so the Jolie-Pitts could avoid the crowd and shop in peace. Target CEO Stuart Machin couldn't resist the publicity, though, thanking Angie and Brad for their business on Twitter.

A Target employee also shared her experience serving the famous family, saying she was shocked upon discovering who their special guests were.

"They made sure no one was around to blow their cover," the employee, who refused to be named, told news.com.au. "The store manager waited until everyone had gone home and opened it up secretly for them at 7:30 pm on Sunday.

"She said they shopped for around an hour and a half to buy presents for their children and friends.

"Who would have thought people like them would do their Christmas shopping at Target?"

Who would think that, indeed?

The Jolie-Pitts are in Australia while mum Angelina is directing her film "Unbroken" on Cockatoo Island in Sydney.
