Users of the cross-platform organisation Evernote in Android will have improved sharing options in its new update. The application has released faster and more efficient note sharing tools.

The application now offers a more streamlined way to share content among various platforms. A note can now be shared with multiple users and email addresses. If the user has an account in the application, then their username can be added instead. Meanwhile, shared notes to emails will receive a message that grants them access to the content.

Moreover, notes can now be shared directly to messaging applications in phones. Clicking "Share another way" will prompt users to select messaging apps they want to use to share their notes.

This means users can now share their notes via email or via apps like Slack. This option can be handy for people who connect using other messaging applications but do not want to go outside the primary Evernote programme.

There is also a new "Shared" feature in the application. This lists all the notes and notebooks that the user can access. There are even options to filter and sort these notebooks.

These filters can be according to the type of content (notebook or note), and according to name. Content can also be sorted out according to the date, name or title.

Aside from these, the application also allows notes to be gathered inside a "notebook." This means constant email attachments can be avoided as users can simply check updated "notebooks." Users can also add comments, new attachments and annotations to the notebooks.

However, the application also lets users share individual notes in the core notebook. This means clients and vendors can get access to notes without viewing the entire team's notebook.

This option is handy if an entire team or group uses the app. This is because notebooks can serve as "information library" for various resources. Instead of sharing everything inside a group chat or a group email, a notebook can be the group's repository of everything their project needs.

According to Android Police, the new options were included subtly in the application. The features themselves have not been "named" in the last update. All users can use the upgraded features on all their devices. However, it should be remembered that free accounts only allow two devices to be logged in with the same user.

The new Evernote sharing options are only available in Android for now. However, other platforms will get the feature on an unspecified date.
