Samsung has already started to deliver the newest Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates to most of its devices and now it is finally rolling out to the Galaxy S4 LTE-A, at least in South Korea.

The update is not for everyone just yet, as it is only for the SHV-E330S and SHV-E330K versions offered by the SK Telecom and KT carriers.

This Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update is available and can be downloaded via the Samsung Kies application or you can also check the availability of the update for your device by going to Settings > General > About Device > Software Update > Check now.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Galaxy S4 Enhancements and Changes

Samsung Galaxy S4 owners in Korea are expected to receive the typical enhancements and changes from the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. As such, there will be wireless printing support, messaging apps directly from the settings menu, easy manipulation of the default launcher, improved Samsung keyboard in landscape orientation and white status bar.

Furthermore, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update brings camera shortcut to the homescreen, reduced memory usage, transparent status bar and a number of improvements to the overall device performance.

SHV-E330S and SHV-E330K Models

You must bear in mind that this Android 4.4. KitKat update is only for the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A version SHV-E330S and SHV-E330K, according to SamMobile. Therefore, do not attempt to install the update on any other version of the Galaxy S4. To make sure that you have the same model of Galaxy S4, check your device model number by going to Settings > About Phone.

Meanwhile, now that Korean versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 are receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, we are expecting to see the International update for Galaxy S4 units to come very soon. Thus far, although Samsung already missed its initial January Android 4.4.2 KitKat for international Galaxy S4 roll out deadline, the recent leaks and updates to other versions of the current flagship smartphone of Samsung that sprout, the delay will not be too great.
