Sal Valentinetti’s confidence and appeal have convinced Americans to keep him in “America’s Got Talent” season 11 competition as the suave singer got the #DunkinSave from voters.

The 20-year-old singer from Long Island, New York, was saved from elimination on Wednesday night after earning 46 percent of the votes cast when he was levelled off against fellow contestants Kadie Lynn and the ThroWings duo.

“It feels incredible,” Valentinetti said during the second AGT live show broadcasted live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

“I feel like (winning) a million bucks standing right here already. Win or loose, I feel like (winning) a million bucks because of you America, because of you, and all these great people in this room. I feel incredibly blessed and incredibly lucky and incredibly ready to win this whole thing.”

first quarter finals round include Lori Mae Hernandez, Musicality, Jayna Brown, Laura Bretan, Tape Face, Jon Dorenbos, and Deadly Games. Contestants are vying for the US$1 million (AU$1.3 million) prize on NBC's top-rated talent show.

The next AGT live show will be aired in the United States on Aug. 23. The two-week hiatus is meant to give way to NBC’s live broadcast of the Olympic Games from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
