What was supposed to be an impressive finale for a live performance on “America’s Got Talent” season 11 quarter finals turned out to be a missed target shooting for stunt performer duo Ryan Stock and AmberLynn. AGT judges were left speechless and worried at the show's Tuesday episode after AmberLynn’s flaming arrow missed the target that was on Ryan Stock’s mouth and instead shot him with it.

On Twitter, Ryan Stock assured fans that he was okay after the serious mishap on their performance on “America’s Got Talent” 2016 live show.

“We had a serious mishap tonight outage live on @nbcagt. (It was) a very unfortunate mechanical failure but I am very fortunate to walk away from it,” he said.

The accident may spell the future of the stunt performer duo from Las Vegas on competing for the US$1 million (AU$1.3 million) prize from NBC’s top rated talent search. Public online voting runs until 7 a.m. ET or 4 a.m. PT Wednesday. Voters without Google or Facebook accounts or those who lack internet connection can still participate by calling unique toll-free numbers assigned to each act.

Unlike Ryan Stock and AmberLynn, teen contortionist Sofie Dossi was able to shoot a flaming arrow to her heart-shaped target despite being blindfolded. Another performer, juggler Viktor Kee, had a minor slip when he missed a ball once during his 2-minute performance that was aired live from Hollywood.

Magicians wowed the AGT judges and audience during the 2nd live show. Steven Brundage even got a standing ovation from the panel of judges and a hand shake from Simon Cowell after his magical performance using a giant Rubik’s cube. Meanwhile, the Clairvoyants left judges wondering how the couple has controlled the judges’ minds on the jelly beans they were picking.

Sos and Victoria made a runway out of the AGT stage when Victoria changed into 12 dresses during the duo’s act that ran for only 2 minutes and 25 seconds. On the other hand, ThroWings wowed the crowd with a heart-stopping acrobatic act in the dark.

Singers were a huge part of the second AGT live shows. Moya Angela won the hearts of the audience with her version of Whitney Houston’s “I Don’t Know my Own Strength,” while Calysta Bevier sang an emotional rendition of Sara Bareilles’ “Brave.” Teen country singer Kadie Lynn brought the AGT audience to worship mode when she sang Maren Morris’ “My Church.” But Sal Valentinetti impressed the most when he sang One Direction’s “Story of My Life” as a traditional pop song.

A gold-clad all-female dance group, Flip, mesmerised the audience with a well-choreographed routine that only ran for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

The public can now choose which acts will make it to the semi-finals round. Public voting is expected to trim the list to seven acts. Official voting rules can be viewed here.
