Calysta Bevier from Ohio and comedian “Tape Face” from New Zealand left the viewers awestruck with their performances on “America's Got Talent.” The sixteen-year-old sang "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten while the mysterious contestant acted out an oddly amusing comedy.

On her audition, Calysta told the judges she wanted to show people that “no matter what they’re going through, never stop chasing [your] dreams.” The song was also special for the ovarian cancer survivor.

“I sang ‘Fight Song’ which is kind of my anthem and that was definitely what I listened to the most which got me through everything,” Calysta says in a behind-the-scenes footage. The inspiration behind her performance were children stricken with cancer.

Calysta moved the audience with her voice and words. She was given a standing ovation and a golden buzzer, granting her an instant spot in the semi-finals. The four “America’s Got Talent” judges commended her for having spirit and potential. Calysta received the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell, who personally congratulated her on stage.

On the other hand, “Tape Face” left an impression on the show. He appeared onstage with thick black eyeliner and a tape over his mouth. When the judges interviewed him, he did not speak and only raised his eyebrows or enlarged his eyes in response. He began his act with puppets lip-syncing to "Endless Love." Afterwards, he performed a comedic pantomime of "Lady in Red." While many viewers commented that his piece was bizarre, they enjoyed it and could not help laughing at his unconventional gimmick.

The video of Tape Face’s audition on "America's Got Talent" YouTube account has so far garnered over 29 million views. It became a trending topic on Twitter on the first week of June 2016. According to New Zealand Herald, Tape Face's real name is Sam Wills.
