“Celebrity Apprentice” Season 1 winner Piers Morgan is back as a judge on NBC's reality show “America's Got Talent” Season 10, which premiered on Tuesday, May 26, joining Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Melanie Brown.

With “America’s Got Talent” Season 10 appearance, Morgan becomes the judge with the most number of seasons. Stern follows him, with appearances on six seasons, including Season 10. Morgan made his first appearance as the show's judge in the first season and continued to judge the show till season six. He did not return to judge season seven and did not sign on to judge season eight and nine, as well.

Meanwhile, this is the first time “America’s Got Talent” will see five judges evaluating the participants' performances. From Seasons 1 to 7, the talent show featured three judges. There were four judges, Stern, Mandel, Brown and Klum, on the judging panel from season 8 to 9.

The “America’s Got Talent” Season 10 premiere episode also saw the introduction of Golden Buzzer. It is the judges’ one-time-only opportunity to send an act directly to live shows. This option was first used in “Britain’s Got Talent” series 8 and recently in “Asia’s Got Talent,” which also featured Brown as a judge along with David Foster and Asian superstars Anggun and Vaness Wu.

According to reports, differently abled comedian Drew Lynch became the first performer who made Morgan, Stern, Mandel, Klum and Brown use the Golden Buzzer during the two-hour “America’s Got Talent” Season 10 premiere. The stuttering stand-up comedian was so good Mandel stood up to give him a standing ovation in the middle of the act.

Mandel told Lynch that he has not been moved by an act until his stand-up comedy routine. He said Lynch managed to look for the light at the end of the darkness, and that light is his comedy, as comedy typically comes from a dark place.

The tenth edition of the talent show is being hosted by Nick Cannon. He is hosting the show for the fifth time. A day prior to “America’s Got Talent” Season 10 premiere, Cannon was spotted at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab having dinner with director Spike Lee, according to Chicago Tribune. It is yet to be confirmed if Cannon will be part of Lee’s upcoming films “Spinning Gold” and “Chiraq.”
