After sharing last month that a third instalment of “The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants” is in the works, America Ferrera now said a script is already being developed. She also shared her relationship with co-stars Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel ever since they starred in the first Sisterhood movie.

Ten years after the first Sisterhood movie, which debuted in 2005, US Weekly reports that Amanda Ferrera said the script for the third “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ Movie.” She told Meredith Vieira on Thursday, Feb. 12 that even though there is still no green light, a script is already being written.

Apart from this juicy tidbit, the “Ugly Betty” star also shared that ever since 2005, her real-life best friends are still composed of her co-stars in the movie, Blake, Amber, and Alexis. They completely embodied the sisterhood that they are portraying in their movies. No matter if they all changed through the years, with some getting married and Blake giving birth to her baby girl, the bond among the four was unbroken. Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake even got Amber, Blake, and America as their daughter’s godmothers! ""I was 20 when I met them, I am 30 now and they are still three of my best friends and supporters,” she said. "What’s wonderful about these girls in my life is, people expect girls and women to be competitive, and we made a decision to love and support each other offscreen and onscreen," America added.

She said their friendship and the movie they starred in showed how great sisterhood could be. She said the first “Sisterhood of Traveling Pants” was such a hit because at the time, there were not so many stories of young girls “being supportive of each other.” For her, the movie showed that such friendship where girls are each other’s champions can be powerful.

America does not only wish people could see more of girls being supportive of each other onscreen, E Online also reports that she wishes to see Latinos and other people of color making bigger waves in the Entertainment industry, not only as actors but also as people behind the camera, creating stories.
