After Amber Heard filed for divorce from actor Johnny Depp, new rumours suggest that she is pregnant with his baby.

Star Magazine (via Hollywood Life) reports say that Heard is indeed carrying Depp’s child. While “The Danish Girl” actress has yet to confirm or deny the rumours, the news has certain implications on the ongoing divorce.

Here are five things to know about Heard and Depp’s divorce.

1. Heard, who demanded spousal support during the first stages of the divorce, could potentially use the alleged pregnancy to claim more than the initial amount that Depp refused to give. According to Star Magazine, a source said that “given all he’s put her through,” Heard can be entitled to half of Depp’s fortune. Heard would fight for full custody which could result to a larger dent in Depp’s vault.

2. The divorce is headed to even rougher seas after Heard was “violently attacked” by Depp. She is now claiming emotional and physical abuse. According to the divorce documents, police responded to a 911 call last May 21. For evidence, Heard handed in pictures of herself sporting a bruised face. Deadline.com reports that LAPD released a statement that Heard did not insist on a report and did not hand in any evidence of the abuse. TMZ wrote that Heard responded to the statement by citing a witness who saw the battered state of her face.

3. Heard has secured a temporary restraining order despite Depp’s denial of the incident. The TRO is effective on June 17 and it requires Depp to stay 100 yards away from Heard. With the attacks coming nonstop on Depp, his daughter, Lily-Rose Depp defended her father, saying that Depp “has been nothing but a wonderful father.”

4. Depp is not the only one who may be guilty of domestic abuse. According to BuzzFeed News, Heard was arrested for allegedly abusing her ex-girlfriend, artist Tasya van Ree in 2009. However, it appears that Heard was “wrongfully accused” as Van Ree came out to defend her on Wednesday. According to the artist, the incident was “over-sensationalised.” Van Ree also cited that she and Heard remain to be close friends.

5. Heard’s friend, IO Tillett Wright wrote the details about the 911 call in an essay for Refinery29. Wright recounted the sequence of events starting with “I called 911 because she never would.” According to her, Depp has been abusing Heard for years now. Every single time it happened, Heard would not report the abuse to protect Depp. Heard’s phone call to Wright the night she called 911 was the final straw. Wright wrote that as long as she respected Heard’s wishes, she was enabling domestic abuse and that was something she “could no longer partake in.”

More updates about Heard and Depp’s messy divorce are expected soon.
