The potential divorce of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” star Johnny Depp and Amber Heard appears to be heading for an ugly court case. In her documents filed in the court, Heard claims that her estranged husband used to repeatedly physically assault her.

The documents that Heard’s lawyers filed in court on Friday state that she has been a victim of domestic violence. In the document she states that Depp “violently attacked” her on Saturday in their penthouse apartment.

As evidence, Heard has submitted pictures of herself, showing an injured face. She also submitted pictures of broken glass and picture frames on the floor. She alleged that Depp became obsessed with something that “wasn’t true” and “became extremely angry.” He supposedly threw a mobile at her “with extreme force” and the device is said to have hit her cheek. The actor “continued screaming at me, pulling my hair, striking me and violently grabbing my face,” Heard stated.

During the altercation between the couple, Heard’s friend Raquel Pennington is said to have entered the room. Pennington has also submitted her statement with the court and the two say that Depp took the wine bottle he was drinking from and swung it around “like a baseball bat” and smashed everything he could.

The documents do not reveal what Depp was angry about or why they were fighting. Things may not been smooth with the couple from the very beginning and way back in 2014 there were reports of Heard flirting with Channing Tatum on the set of “Magic Mike XXL.” Things apparently got tense when Tatum’s wife Jenna Dewan Tatun arrived on set, Hollywood Life reports. Heard was engaged to Depp at that time.

Meanwhile, the court has granted Heard a restraining order against Depp. The counter documents filed by the “pirates of the Caribbean 5” actor claim that his wife is attempting to get a “financial resolution” by alleging abuse.
