Hollywood actor George Clooney and his wife Amal Alamuddin have got married again in Venice, Italy. This time they got married in a civil ceremony. Reuters/Alessandro Bianchi

Amal and George Clooney are not adopting a child. The couple's rep has denied that the recently married couple is adopting a child from a war-torn country.

According to "Gravity" star's rep, the story is "100% fabricated," reported Aceshowbiz. Daily Mail had previously reported that George and Amal wanted to adopt a child to "highlight the plight of orphans" in countries like Syria. The Clooney couple's decision to adopt a child was said to be inspired from Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie, who are parents to three adopted children namely, Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

However, it does not seem that Oscar winning actor and his Lawyer wife are currently thinking of child adoption. Moreover, according to Examiner it is not legal to adopt a child from Syria, so the Clooney couple may have never planned adopting a child from that country. As stated further by the website, according to U.S. Embassy "Shari'ah law does not recognize or provide for adoptions for Muslim children."

Amal and George got married in September in Italy. The celebrations continued for four-days and couple made the nuptial official in a €600 civil ceremony. The duo reportedly met in 2013, through a common friend. They were first seen together in October 2013 and got engaged in April. It was the 53-year-old actor who popped the question to the marriage to Amal over a home cooked meal.

Clooney opened up about his relationship with Amal on a Sept 8, 2014 during a charity event. "I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places... I would just like to say to my bride-to-be, Amal, that I love you very much and I can't wait to be your husband," he said about Amal to ET Online.

For her wedding Amal wore a custom made off -shoulder gown by Oscar de la Renta. Her French lace gown featured elegant pearl embroidery and had a circular train, while George dressed in a black tuxedo designed by Giorgio Armani. Approximately, 100 guests, including close friends, attended their state-of-the-art wedding. Clooney's best man was Rande Gerber, and other guests included John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Vogue's Anna Wintour and Bill Murray, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, and Cindy Crawford.

The couple is has been spotted on various dinner dates since their wedding. They were recently seen on a night out with friends Stella McCartney and Alasdhair Willis.
