There is no way to read Allen Iverson’s mind as to why he wants an NBA comeback he has recently been reported telling the Associated Press. But the 4-time champion is sure trying his luck again to play basketball “homecourt”.

Dan Gelston of the Associated Press noted that his comeback to the NBA may be a long haul but the basketball star who had just turned 36 this week expressed his confidence that he still has what it takes to pass the ball to a team mate.

Best known as “The Answer”, Iverson said AP made a name for himself ten years ago as showed his powerful plays with his games. Iverson, also known for his pre-game at 25 had dazzled the court in But he had his shares of issues having burned bridges even to his own former coaches.

Iverson however has been a darling and was one player according to AP to fill the stadium with 20,000 fans a night.

And these fans now have no other way to watch Iverson dribble and pass the ball but on YouTube. Iverson has signed a contract in Turkey but AP noted that he played only ten games due to injury and he is trying to make his way home.

Questions are raised if Iverson still has what it takes to bring his team to the finals.

Again, he has “The Answer”:

"It's me," Iverson said, according to AP. "That's what gives me confidence. I know what I can do. Everybody in the world knows what I can do. Everybody knows what I can do on the basketball court."

His injury as he left Turkey and issues with former coaches resulted in doubts being raised as to whether or not he can go back to NBA.

"Just give me a training camp," he said. "Maybe I've rubbed people the wrong way as far as saying the things I've said in my life and in my career. But if any team needs me to help try and win a championship in any capacity, I'm waiting."
