Actress Nicole Kidman has clearly seen the role played by the internet in getting more mileage. The Australian star recently took to YouTube to reach to her fans and left them a message thanking them for support.

Kidman posted on her official YouTube channel, a message expressing her gratitude for being on her side through the years.

But the move was also done to promote her latest film, Hemingway and Gellhorn. Taped on her last day of filming in San Francisco, Kidman admitted that she felt shy about it, but faced the camera to make the amateur video anyway.

"I'm here, I've had the last day on a film I'm working on called Hemingway and Gellhorn," Kidman was quoted as saying by The Herald Sun.

She added: "This is the first time that I've done this from my website so... I just wanted to say hi, and wanted to thank all the fans for sticking by me through everything and for being supportive."

Watching the video, Kidman noted that this will not be the first and the last, and promised the fans to watch out for more.
The Herald Sun noted that there could be more news indeed from the actress as she is approaching her 44th birthday on June 20. The birthday of her daughter, Sunday Rose with husband, Keith Urban is also just around the corner as she will turn three in early July.

For someone who started in the entertainment industry in the early 80s when all projects are promoted the traditional way, this could be a bold move for the actress, who started with some television series and few films in Australia before making her way to Hollywood.

According to her online biography, the 43-year-old star and producer, who was nominated for the best female supporting category for her role in Rabbit Hole at 83rd Academy Awards, had first earned her worldwide recognition for her appearances in Days of Thunder (1990), and Far and Away (1992) where she played opposite former husband, Tom Cruise.

Making her name in the 90s during the early stage of her relationship with former husband and actor, Tom Cruise, Kidman had certainly come a long way to join other big stars to take to the small screen in getting more support from [or thanking] her millions of fans.
