Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez allegedly cheated on his girlfriend Laia Grassi and became a father to an ex-girlfriend, according to a Spanish media outlet. The Chilean footballer's former partner Mary Plaza, who is also the step-daughter of former Liverpool striker John Toshack claimed that she recently gave birth to Sanchez' child in Barcelona.

The 25-year-old football star was reportedly in a relationship with the English teacher, Plaza for a few months in 2012 but he is currently not on the best of terms with her, according to the Spanish publication El Mundo.

At the time of the alleged affair, Sanchez was with Grassi. Sanchez and Grassi briefly broke up in late 2013 but they managed to rekindle their relationship a couple of months later when Grassi agreed to forgive the Chilean.

Just after Sanchez secured a £32 million deal in moving from Barcelona to Arsenal, Plaza revealed that she was pregnant. "I'm very happy. I feel bad for his girlfriend and for her family but Alexis already knows. He knows I'm going to go through with the pregnancy and that I'm delighted the child is his. I don't care if it's a boy or a girl, I just want it to be healthy." Plaza said according to Mirror.

Thus far, the footballer is refusing to have anything to do with the baby as he does not believe that he is the father of the child. Fortunately for Sanchez, the Spanish publication claims that Plaza has no intention to force the striker to take responsibility for the baby.

Plaza is known to come from a wealthy family. Her father owns a chain of hotels while her grandfather is believed to be one of the founders of FC Barcelona. However, this situation remains tricky as Sanchez was in a relationship with his current girlfriend when the alleged fling took place. For whatever its worth, Grassi has stood by her man in spite all the talk of a baby.
