What's a frighteningly scary scenario? A Halloween party without creepy cocktails. Stir up these terribly tasty cocktail recipes and make your spooky gathering a Haunting success.

Witch's Brew

(Adapted from Sandra Lee from the Food Network)

Serve up a witch's brew with this tutti-frutti boozy punch served in a ghoulish smoking cauldron. To set this up, you will need a block of dry ice plus a plastic cauldron and a pair of rubber hands, both of which you can find in any party or craft store.

For the punch, mix a 6-ounce packet of lime gelatin in 2 cups hot water. When the gelatin has dissolved, add 3 cups pineapple juice and let cool to room temperature.

To set up the smoky cauldron, place a block of dry ice at the bottom of a plastic cauldron. Use gloves or tongs when handling dry ice as it can burn skin. Fill the cauldron with just enough water to cover the dry ice to create the steaming effect. Then a punch bowl inside the cauldron on top of the dry ice. Insert the rubber hands between the bowl and cauldron so that the hands look like they're rising from the mist.

Carefully pour the pineapple-gelatin mixture into the bowl and slowly add 2 cups chilled vodka. Fill the rest with lime soda. Serve with wormy ice cubes.

Brain Hemorrhage

(Recipe adapted from Wayne Collins via BBC)

Go Hannibal Lecter on this one with a chunk of grey matter floating in your shot glass. To create the illusion of a floating brain in your drink, fill half of a shot glass with peach schnapps and top it with Irish cream liqueur. Wait for the cream to take on a curdled effect and top it with grenadine.

Blood Sucker

(Recipe courtesy of Ed Beaden via Home & Garden Television)

A chic, subtly vampiric drink, this recipe uses pureed berries to create the effect of blood streaming down your glass. To mix the drink, pour ½ ounce rum, ½ ounce Cointreau and 2 ounces pineapple juice into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour mixture into a rocks glass.

To create the streaming blood effect, puree strawberries or raspberries and dip the end of a drinking straw into the puree. Hold your finger over the tip of the other end of the straw and use this to squirt the puree down the bottom half of the glass.

Spellbinders with Devil 'Eyeballs

(Adapted from Emeril Lagasse via the Food Network)

Lychees, chocolate chips and cherries help create ghastly floaters for this vibrant drink. To mix the punch, combine ¼ cup blue curacao, ¾ cup Galliano liqueur, 1 ½ cup coconut rum, 2 quarts pineapple juice and 2 quarts seltzer water in a large punch bowl.

To create the devil eyeballs, remove the stem from a cherry and insert a chocolate chip, point side in, from where the stem was plucked off. Then insert the cherry into a pitted lychee.

Ladle the punch into glasses and garnish with the devil eyeballs. For added flair, freeze coloured water into ice cubes and use them as added garnish.

Bayou Slime

(Adapted from Colleen Graham via About.com)

This drink comes complete with thick, slimy sludge with the use of egg whites and moss with a sprinkling of mint on top. To mix the drink, crush 6 to 8 mint leaves and add them to ½ part Fee Brothers Spiced Cordial Syrup. Add the syrup, 2 parts dark rum and one egg white into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until it becomes frothy. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with crushed mint leaves.

Smoking Skulls

(Recipe courtesy of Andrea Correale via Home & Garden Television)

Dry ice chips make this boozy drink a smoking hit. Mix 1 ounce bourbon, ½ ounce lime juice and ¼ ounce grenadine into a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain contents into a shot glass. Drop dry ice chips to create a smoking effect and top with Mountain Dew.

Always observe safety measures when handling dry ice. Don't touch dry ice with bare skin and never swallow it. The dry ice in the drink will sink to the bottom. Wait for the dry ice to evaporate before consuming the drink.

Vampire's Blood

(Recipe adapted from Michael Chiarello via the Food Network)

Floating body parts make this drink truly seem like a blood bath. For the punch, mix together one gallon cranberry juice, one gallon orange juice, a cup of raspberry sorbet and one quarter seltzer. Chill and pour the punch in a punch bowl.

To create the body parts ice cubes, you'll need two plastic gloves and a plastic Halloween face mask. Seal the eyes, mouth and nose of the mask with packing tape then line the inside of the mask with the plastic to keep water from leaking. Place the mask in a bowl that will hold it while freezing and fill it with water mixed with green food coloring. Freeze the mask for at least 24 hours.

Fill the plastic gloves with the same colored water and twist and knot the opening to seal. Freeze the gloves for 12 to 24 hours.

Garnish the punch bowl with body parts ice cubes.
