The upcoming Microsoft Lumia 1030, also known as Microsoft McLaren, is believed to be the flagship Windows Phone from the tech giant, slated for 2015 release. This handset will reportedly house the much-appreciated PureView camera, bundled with high-end specifications. Even though, there are quite bunch of design concepts and rumoured specs floating around, the latest leak showcases a total of "50 images" of the Lumia 1030. Adding a cherry on top, the leaked images also show the Apple iPhone 6 photographed alongside the Lumia handset, to provide a good comparison view of the devices.

It is worth noting that, the label on the photographed Lumia device clearly says "prototype property of Microsoft Mobile." Thus, the rumour of scrapping the Microsoft Lumia 1030 project has been put to rest. As expected, the Lumia 1020 successor has the now-famous protruding camera unit, firmly housed on the device. The point to be noted, however, is that the projected camera unit is relatively bigger on the Microsoft McLaren, when compared to the predecessor Lumia 1020, notes Phone Arena.

Even though, the mega pixel count on the camera has not been confirmed as yet, earlier rumours suggested that the device will house a 50 MP sensor on the rear. However, Phone Arena opines that, such a large protruding unit may not be preferred by many users, as not all are image enthusiasts. Nonetheless, Microsoft has an incredible Lumia handset in the offing.

As far as the key specifications go, the Microsoft Lumia 1030 will reportedly feature 1080p resolution, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage capacity. In addition, the handset is believed to be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor. Going by the leaked images, the PureView camera unit is Zeiss-certified and has dual-LED flash, whereas the Lumia 1020 comes with a xenon flash, says GSM Arena. The same site also notes that the photos show 4G LTE support and also a microSD card slot, alongside a micro-SIM slot. Furthermore, the Apple iPhone 6 comparison clearly shows the size and dimensions of the upcoming device.

In any case, Microsoft has not confirmed any of the leaked data. Nevertheless, interested readers should head straight to Phone Arena to check out the killer images of the Microsoft McLaren handset in the form of a slide show.
