Choice tested 5 of the most popular diet plans available online in Australia and came to a conclusion that the plans are both expensive and unrealistic. The weight loss programmes which were put in to the test include SureSlim, The Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge, The Biggest Loser Club and Weight Watchers. These weight loss programmes demand nearly $83 every week.

It was found that the diet plans were mostly overcomplicated and did not have a scientific base behind it. The diet plans did not turn out to be a balanced, healthy diet. According to Choice, the Ashy Bines programme does not even have a registered dietician as their listed nutritionist. The Michelle Bridges programme, which fared the best among the lot, charged $199 for 3 months. Ironically, it was observed that it would be practically impossible to follow the prescribed exercise plan as they do not have a personal trainer.
