Martha Hunt is all set to wear a Swarovski corset and wings during the 20th anniversary show of Victoria’s Secret to be held in New York on Tuesday. For the newly minted angel, it is a top honour which is only next to Lily Aldridge who will walk the ramp in the $2 million (AU $2.83 million) Fantasy Bra.

The 26-year-old model will sport a bespoke Swarovski lingerie creation complete with blinged-out wings. She unveiled the new look which was a sparkling corset with over 90,000 gold, red, emerald and blue crystal beads and pendants created by Parisian couturier Serkan Cura. Hunt showed off her look for the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at the VS headquarters in Manhattan on Monday.

Apart from her bejewelled corset, the high point of her ensemble for the show is her Angel wings. It is embellished with over 20,000 crystals and 130 feet of LED lights. Featuring 1,200 individual lights, the wings glow with the help of a hidden battery-pack, and weighing 19 pounds, E Online reported. “I’ve worn wings before, but these are special. They’re heavier than ever before and light up like a firework…” said the North Carolina model who is also the best friend forever of Taylor Swift.

Cura who has already worked with VS for three seasons said that he knows in advance who gets to wear which look. Talking to WWD, he told that he takes all the measurements and makes the composites. Cura added that the Swarovski crystals would not hurt the models.

This year the highly anticipated VS fashion show will feature 75 looks. It will be divided up into six categories: Boho/Psychedelic, Portrait of a Lady, Butterfly, Pink USA, Ice Angels and the finale group, Fireworks. A total of 47 models will be involved, which includes 12 fresh faces, of which Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are the most awaited by the audience. Monica Mitro, the show’s executive producer said that finding new talent was always exciting for them.

Hunt has walked on the catwalk for VS in 2013, but it was not as an angel. This is her third consecutive year with the lingerie brand, walking for their annual extravaganza. Hunt added that the angel status has helped her and boosted her self-esteem.
