Novak Djokovic of Serbia stamped his class over Roger Federer of Switzerland on Sunday winning in straight sets, 6-3 6-4 in the championship round of the 2015 ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 in London, United Kingdom.

Djokovic bagged his 11th title of the 2015 ATP season and his fourth consecutive ATP World Tour title but more importantly showed why he is the current World No. 1 in defeating the Swiss Maestro, who is widely considered the greatest player of all time in the sport.

The match last just 1 hour and 20 minutes as Djokovic leveled the head-to-head record between the two tennis greats at 22 wins apiece.

"I'm obviously very proud to have these achievements with my team. It's been a long season, but the best of my life. Without their support and my family, I wouldn't be where I am. I'm just trying to cherish every moment at this level. As a kid growing up, you dream to be at tournaments like this and fighting for the biggest trophies in sport," Djokovic said post-match via the tournament’s official website.

Federer beat Djokovic earlier in this week in the round robin stage, 7-5 6-2. In the group stages, he beat Japan’s Kei Nishikori, 6-1 6-1 and Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych, 6-3 7-5. Djokovic defeated Spain’s Rafael Nadal, 6-3 6-3 in the semifinals and continued his dominant run to the title without falling a set for the entire tournament in London.

Federer knew that he had to bring his A-game to have a chance at the current World No. 1 and admitted he struggled in key moments of the match.

"It would have been nice to serve a little bit better early on in the match, play better overall on his second serve, because he does allow you to play on his second serve. The moments where I should have gone safe, I didn't, and vice versa. Those are the two regrets I have,” Federer stated.
