Media partners Howcast, Rocketboom, Next New Networks, and Young Hollywood are broadcasting live shows during the trial run, according to a blog post of the Google-owned site. Viewers can comment on the show live.

Rocketboom's "Rocketboom Live" show aired at 8 a.m. Pacific time. The Howcast show entitled "Filmmakers Wanted: Making How-To's with Howcast" followed at 9 a.m.

Young Hollywood's 10:30 a.m. showl features an interview with skateboarder Tony Hawk. Indy Mogul's "Talk Movies & Filmmaking with Erik Beck" followed at 12:30 p.m.

Five more shows follow. On Tuesday, three additional shows will be live streamed.

The number of media partners will be expanded based on the result of the global test.

Previously, YouTube streamed live videos on a case to case basis, such as the first State of the Union address of U.S. President Barack Obama.
