The WWE Company has provided a crucial update involving Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar and Reigns are set to face off against each other in a Last Man Standing fight for the Undisputed WWE and Universal Championship at the upcoming SummerSlam 2022. The event would be the final meeting between the two legendary wrestlers, WWE confirmed.

"One last time. One last match. Last Man Standing," WWE announced on its official Twitter page.

It has been reported that the SummerSlam would witness the end of Lesnar and Reigns' rivalry and the WWE Company has now made it official.

SummerSlam is scheduled to take place on July 30 at Nissan Stadium, Tennessee.

Lesnar and Reigns' previous meeting was at WrestleMania 38, where the Tribal Chief won and became an Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion.

The WWE Company had initiqally decided to pit Randy Orton against Reigns at SummerSlam. However, Orton picked up an injury earlier this year and was ruled out indefinitely. Following that, Lesnar, who had not made an appearance since his WrestleMania 38 defeat, made a surprise return last month before he was announced Reigns' next challenger.

Last year's SummerSlam saw Reigns defeat John Cena by pinfall to claim the Universal Championship belt. The Head of the Table now holds the record for the longest reign, having been the Universal Champion for over 700 days.

Meanwhile, one of the big fights of SummerSlam will be between Seth Rollins and Riddle, according to Cageside Seats. Riddle recently fought against Reigns for the Universal Championship but failed to beat the Tribal Chief. As per the stipulation that was added to their fight, Riddle cannot challenge for the Universal Championship belt till it belonged to Reigns.

Riddle and Rollins were a part of the Money in the Bank event last month but both failed to win the ladder match. At the event, the RK-Bro member even delivered an RKO to The Visionary.
