A brilliant match-up awaits the tennis fans on Centre Court on Tuesday when Serena Williams and former World No. 1 Belarusian player Victoria Azarenka play against each other for a place in the last four. The match will be the 19th time that Serena and Vika will play on tour. It will be a repeat of their quarterfinal match at the All England Club back in 2008.

Serena is coming off from a straight-sets victory over against sister Venus, whom she regarded as her best friend in the whole world, in the third round 6-4 6-3. She fired 10 aces as opposed to Venus’ two. She scored 36 winners, while Venus had 15. The 20-time grand slam champion needed a little over an hour to book her spot in the last four in her bid to win sixth trophy at the All England Club.

The American had only played three sets once in the tournament. That was against British No. 1 Heather Watson, who gave her quite a tough match in the third round.

Vika, on the other hand, is playing for her 10th Wimbledon. She has yet to win the trophy at the All England Club. The best performance that she has had in the tournament was making it to the last four in 2011 and 2012. Vika is coming off from straight-sets win over 30th seed 18-year-old Belinda Bencic of Switzerland. The Belarus, who has yet to drop a set in the tournament, eased past the Swiss teenaged to book a meeting with Serena. Vika, who is the 23rd seed, has never reached a final at the Wimbledon since making her debut in 2006.

The quarterfinal match will be the ninth time that Serena and Vika will play in a grand slam tennis event, with their most recent meeting taking place in the third round of the Roland Garros when the American dismissed the Belarusian in three sets. Serena leads their head-to-head series 16-3. The last time that Vika won against Serena was in the hard courts of the 2013 Cincinnati Open. Since then, the American had won in their last four meetings.
