Super Bowl 2018 has become a platform for companies and ad agencies to fight for attention as the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots battle for the championship. Commercials for various companies seek to get noticed by over 100 million Americans expected to watch football’s biggest game.

Ads this year feature celebrities, special effects and cameos. One of the latest Super Bowl commercials was American comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish’s GroupOn spot. The ad appears to warn audiences of the consequences of not supporting local businesses. It also invites audiences to download the business’s app.

Coca-Cola’s presence at Super Bowl 2018 is also felt with its message of diversity, which appears to follow the path set by the company’s previous commercials. The ad shows people around the world enjoying Coca-Cola drinks. The minute-long commercial is called “The Wonder of Us.”

The ad is accompanied by a poem that notes there is a Coke out there “for he, and she, and her, and me, and them.” It sits well for consumers who applaud the company for recognising gender-neutral individuals.

Meanwhile, a red M&M transforms into American actor and director Danny DeVito after it exclaims that sometimes it wishes it was human.

Also, US actor Matt Damon promotes the Stella Artois chalice. The ad states that “if just one percent of you watching this buys one, we can give clean water to one million people for five years.”

Also, Illinois-based car floor liner company WeatherTech dropped an ad at Super Bowl 2018.

Pepsi looks back to the company’s past in its Super Bowl 2018 commercial. It features a shout-out to US singer Britney Spears and an appearance from American model Cindy Crawford.

The Vikings are in for a surprise as Ram Trucks promotes its new Ram 1500. They are excitedly heading to the Super Bowl in Minneapolis when they appear to learn that Minnesota Vikings did not make it to the game.

The ad comes with the warning at the end. “Never ride in the bed of a truck unless you are an authentic Viking,” it says.

Another commercial is a Doritos vs Mountain Dew Ice ad that features a rap battle between Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman. Dinklage lip-syncs Busta Rhymes’ verse on “Look At Me Now,” while Freeman retorts with “Get Your Freak On” by Missy Elliot.
