U.S. stocks fell in the opening minutes of Monday's trading on Wall Street.

The Standard & Poor's 500 Index weakened 12.76 to 4,445.79.

The NASDAQ Composite Index moved lower 86.73 to 14,969.42.

However, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 49.31 to 34,875.39 at 9:32 a.m. ET.
