U.S. stocks declined in the opening minutes of Wednesday's trading on Wall Street.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 205.36 to 35,608.44 at 9:32 a.m. ET.

The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 26.78 to 4,663.92.

The NASDAQ Composite Index fell 140.48 to 15,634.66.
