Verizon recently released an application for Ipad that will allow users to watch TV or videos wherever they go.

The live TV streaming application for tablet PCs is said to be something that could remove the need for a TV at home and allow a TV everywhere kind of thinking for people.

Executives at Verizon showed how this will be possible by demonstrating the application at the very own home of CTO Shaygan Kheradpir.

A Wi-Fi connection will allow people to subscribe to watch live TV from Verizon services with the use of their Ipad. At first, the service can only be done in people's houses but eventually, watching TV anywhere will be possible through the use of a username and password.

The design of Ipad is what makes it almost perfect for the application. Its screen is enough for people to watch TV in it. Furthermore, watching TV through the Ipad can prove to be very comfortable and that the device is unlike other computers which take a painstakingly long time to turn on and off.

The application will be available for the coming tablets PCs which will be released by other companies making the competition for tablet PCs even more tight. Mobile phones will also be allowed to avail of this kind of service.

If you download a certain movie, the movie will be available to you for as long as you keep it in your Ipad or other devices. This is not the same with other rentals which does not allow people to store their videos.

Agreements with other content providers is being done first so that the application would be available for consumers soon. Verizon is currently negotiating with providers like Time Warner to iron out things.

The application is available to subscribers of Verizon Fios TV without additional charges.
