Tiger Woods went as far as wearing a skeleton mask to disguise and support his American World Cup alpine ski racer girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn. Vonn broke a 35-year-old record and her professional golfer boyfriend was there to witness it all – in disguise.

After successfully recovering from two serious knee injuries, Vonn bagged her 63rd victory and broke the longest record of the most wins in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. It was thought that Vonn’s boyfriend would not be present in the event but the legendary golfer donned a skeleton mask and sneaked for a celebratory kiss.

Woods first showed up in the athlete’s area and then, Alan Kildow, Vonn’s father escorted him in just after Vonn took the lead. Afterwards, he surprised his girlfriend and gave her a hug. After approximately 15 minutes of standing near Vonn and her family, Woods was led to into a white tent, which is usually reserved for measuring skis. Woods stayed there for a while until the podium celebration.

Apart from surprising his girlfriend, another surprising thing about Tiger Woods was a missing tooth. According to Mark Steinberg, Woods’ agent, the golf star lost the tooth from a media horde. "During a crush of photographers at the awards' podium, a media member with a shoulder-mounted video camera pushed and surged towards the stage, turned and hit Tiger Woods in the mouth. Woods' tooth was knocked out by the incident," Steinberg said.

However, race officials had a different version of the story as reported by the Associated Press. According to race officials, the incident was not reported to them and they accommodated all the requests of Woods including special transportation and extra security. Nicola Colli, the secretary general of the race organising committee, said that he escorted Tiger Woods from the tent to the snowmobile and there was no incident of being knocked out. He claimed that the golfer asked for more security and he was assigned police officers to look after both him and Lindsey.
