Telstra, the telecommunication company, has recently begun targeting the iPhone with its data plan offerings, which offer more data - up to 6 gigabytes - more cheaply than previously advertised plans for iPhone 4.

A report by Dan Warne of APCMag.com notes that Telstra has lowered its rates for its 6 GB data plan, offering more ways for consumers to save money while getting more use out of their iPhone with both metered and unmetered data access.

While Telstra currently provides 500 MB of data on its most inexpensive iPhone 4 plan, consumers have discovered ways to mix and match Telstra's offerings to achieve significant savings. For example, opting to use separate voice and data plans allows consumers to then take up a 50% off data plan and a $49 voice plan, providing $400 in calls. Users can then increase their data plans by varying amounts depending on their usage needs.
